PROJECT BRIEF

As the leading developer and designer for this project, I was tasked to revamp the organization website. The Executive Board and Vice Chairperson for Publicity and Promotions, the team in-charge of CSO's digital assets and all publicity materials, have all agreed upon three main goals: to match the design with the current branding, to focus on the website's legibility and accessibility to users, to highlight the key persons and projects of each organization, and to serve as the central information hub for the student body.

To do this, my partner and I started planning for the necessary pages and elements the website would require. Then, we started designing the pages on Squarespace. After getting all the templates for each page done, we delegated tasks for our associates to help with the creation of the website.

After much testing and revisions, the CSO website was completed on June of 2021.

GOALS

  • To match the design with the current branding
  • To focus on the website's legibility and accessibility to users
  • To highlight the key persons and projects of each organization
  • To serve as the central information hub for the student body.

timeline

This project started on March 2021 and ended around June of the same year.

showcase

Below is the design of the old website compared to the current look. On the left, you can see that the elements overlap each other, nor do they look cohesive as a whole. For the 2021 version, we focused on a more welcoming feel with a simpler look that fully maximized the elements, colors, and typefaces we had with the branding. By removing unnecessary clutter, we drew focus into more important things for the users to see.
