2021's FLARE had encountered many setbacks, but none of those deterred the team in delivering the best quality of service to the participants and the student body. Not only was the project held completely online due to the pandemic, but it was also the first occurence in almost two years of the event being postponed. The expectations were high, and because of this, the team strived to give FLARE 2021 the magnificent relaunch it deserved.
Since it was a relaunch of a flagship event of CSO, we wanted to achieve the following:
This project started on March 2021 and ended around December of the same year.
For the branding, we went with straightforward geometric shapes and bold colors. Since the event had three phases, we opted to have themes for each of them: white for registration, gray for launch, and black for event proper.
In addition, I also revitalized the logo design by giving it a more modern (but timeless) feel, while being able to match future FLARE events perfectly.
In this section, you'll see the ways we designed our content while keeping the theme in mind. We started from making primers to send out to partners and sponsors, then a light theme for recruitment, a cool gray for the event launch, and the dark theme for the event proper.
We also released teaser videos for the launch and recap videos for the events and livestreams.

Aside from static and dynamic social media content, I also designed and created an Instagram Filter to go with the launch of the event. For this, I utilized Instagram's developer program Spark AR.
